“Save You”, Matthew Perryman Jones (and Cary Brothers)
The last time I saw them sing this together was 10/2009 at the Troubadour. Beauty not to be missed.

Saw TOT (http://10outoftenn.com/) at the Hotel Cafe on the 25th. This time around, it was actually 5 out of 10: Matthew Perryman Jones, Trent Dabbs, Andrew Belle, Amy Stroup, and Katie Herzig. :) Got a few pics and loved every minute of the sold-out show.

Trent Dabbs gets 2 — his energy was immense. He...

I was supposed to post all of my poor smashed cam’s last photos, but…. I forgot to bring its memory card. You see, I was going to use my old card for my new camera, but discovered part of the fancyness was it required a blank card to be formatted. So, I switched out the old card for a new one, and put the old one in my camera case. Which is at home. Dangit.
So. Tomorrow, then.

Seems I’m really embracing my younger nerdier self, lately. Just followed an X-Files themed blog and I find myself smiling and remembering the episode content featured.
I first started watching at age 11. My very first episode was “731” and it hooked me. I’d previously switched channels whenever the theme music would start, thinking it was just a goofy sci-fi show or...

I’ve always loved beads and the endless craft possibilities with that medium….
But I’ve found that if you are easily traumatized, DO NOT search for “beads” as a Tumblr tag unless you want a crash course in anal fetishes and raver culture.
Just sayin’.

I see the world differently from everyone else. And now I know why.
Monday brought a trip to my eye doc for an emergency walk-in. Her tech assistant dilated my pupils and gave me a quick pressure test. The doc shined lights in my eyes and peered at my retinas, and all the while I was struggling to relax. Dunno if you’re aware, but I have this thing about objects coming at my eyes....
Got this from http://www.hypnoid.com/psytest2.html, after reading http://to-be-or-not-to-be.tumblr.com
Your Diagnosis
Though quiet on the outside, you are often the hidden hero; someone who rushes in when needed and then after the emergency is over fades back into the woodwork. Because of this sense of duty and honor, you can also on occasion be rigid in your viewpoint and unyielding in the face...
I am 30 seconds in...
… and my voice fades mid-whoop. The music cues and your voice rises and envelops me whole.
I am buoyed along and swayed by everything in the music. I sing along still, but am drowned out by the atmosphere. I don’t mind, and my eyes close as we sing together yet apart.
As the volume lowers and the tempo slows, I stop singing so you can finish your song.
The crowd cheers at the end. I...

Wish they could’ve done Storm, too. But I can see how all the white and silver wouldn’t be too far off from a real duck. The more colorful a character, the more there is to play with.
Two months ago. My camera (dropped once) trying to auto-focus. My mid sis had just had a Caesarean, so was on a liquid diet for a day or so. If she ever finds this blog, hope she forgives me. :)

tafm:
There is only one of you and unless I’m going to become some badass with super powers like Rogue, go away and stay away. Thanks.
Seriously, you stubborn little pest, I’m done with you. You first grew out of the left side of my head 2 years ago, and I made my peace. I ignored you, lost in a sea of black. My mid sis convinced me to let her pull you out last month, but you’ve...

Cocoa had a check-up Saturday morning to see if her weight improved. After two months of increased feedings, she’s gained 3 pounds. Still underweight at 37, but I’m encouraged by her progress. Her vet once again asked me her age and gave me a look. “Fifteen. She’ll be 16 in November.” I smiled, letting him know I already knew what he was going to try and tell me.
He looked at her. Listened...
This video was taken January 7th, the night before her eye-removal surgery. I was nervous about the anesthesia and needed to have something of her if the worst happened. Cocoa didn’t care for the attention.
